The Dacon Rescue Frame

General Arrangement:
- A manual recovery system for gentle and effective rescue of casualties.

- Requires a minimum of space on board. Will not obstruct passage even on small rescue craft.
- Doubles as an effective scrambling net for persons able to climb onboard.

Design:
The Dacon Rescue Frame consists of a number of parallel fibre glass bars connected by slotted webbing.
The outer bar is equipped with flotation, a manoeuvring stick and hand-loops for easy grip.

Medical Aspects:
- The person is recovered in a horizontal position with full-length body support. This will reduce the possibility of shock and aggrevation of injuries assosiated with the recovery of hypothermic and seriously injured casualties from the water
- Detaches in seconds for use as an effevtive transport stretcher when required.

Use:
When deployed, the Rescue Frame hangs down the freeboard forming a cradle in the water.
The casualty is positioned in the cradle and gently «rolled» onboard by lifting the grip bar or the retrieval lines.

Hydraulic Operation for shorthanded crew.

With the optional hydraulic Drum and Davit, recovery can be performed single-handed.
For: Pilot vessels, tugs, Police, coast Guard cutters etc.

Following 30 years of supplying the most demanding customers in the offshore industry, Dacon have now implemented 5-year warranty as a standard on all our man overboard rescue nets.

For some time now, we have operated with this warranty on the manual recovery nets for smaller boats and it was time to implement it on the larger products as well.

We have seen over the years that these products tend to be in operation more than 15 years with essentially no maintenance or spares costs. All our regular customers are well aware of the high quality and low total lifecycle cost but we have not been good enough at communicating this advantage to new customers.

We are confident in the quality of our products and are proud to offer this added benefit at a time when many of our customers are looking to reduce costly maintenance requirements on their equipment.

This will apply for all new Dacon Rescue Scoops, Dacon Scrambling Nets and Dacon Rescue Frames delivered on or after 1st September 2015.
